Terms of Sale

1. Who we are
Practical IT Packs is operated by Michael Chubb trading as Practical IT Packs. Product and account support is available at support@practicalitpacks.com.
2. What we sell
Practical IT Packs supplies downloadable digital templates, workbooks, guides and related supporting files for IT, project, governance and cybersecurity workflows. No physical goods are supplied through direct checkout.
Product pages state the principal compatibility requirements and contents. Unless a listing says otherwise, the current Excel systems are designed for desktop Microsoft Excel 365 and are not intended for Google Sheets, Apple Numbers or unsupported older Excel versions.
3. Direct checkout and merchant of record
Direct website payments are processed through Stripe Managed Payments. Under that checkout model, Link acts as merchant of record for the transaction and may handle payment processing, transaction taxes, fraud, disputes and transaction support. Practical IT Packs remains responsible for the digital product, product access and product-level support.
Practical IT Packs is not VAT registered. The price shown on the website is the advertised customer price; where transaction taxes are applicable to a direct Managed Payments transaction, the checkout provider calculates and handles them as part of its merchant-of-record service.
4. Orders and payment
A direct order is submitted when you complete the secure checkout process. Product access is granted only after the payment provider sends a verified server-to-server confirmation that payment has completed. Reaching a success page by itself does not create a download entitlement.
We may refuse or cancel an order where payment is not completed, a transaction is reversed, the purchase is fraudulent, the product is unavailable, or the order would breach these terms or the licence terms.
5. Immediate digital supply and cancellation
Before direct checkout you are required to give express consent for the digital content to be supplied immediately and to acknowledge that, once supply begins, you lose the normal 14-day right to cancel that applies to many distance contracts.
For Practical IT Packs direct purchases, supply begins when the paid product is made available to the verified customer account for secure download. This does not remove statutory remedies that apply if digital content is faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality, or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
See the Digital Download & Refund Policy for more detail.
6. Customer accounts and delivery
Direct purchases are linked to the verified account using the same email address entered at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for using an email address you control.
Downloads are served from private storage using short-lived secure links. A link may expire quickly and can be regenerated from the customer account while the purchase entitlement remains active.
7. Licence
Your purchase gives you a licence to use the supplied files; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying templates, design or intellectual property. The Licence Terms form part of these Terms of Sale.
8. Product use and responsibility
Practical IT Packs products are general operational tools and templates. They are not legal, tax, audit, regulatory, cybersecurity certification or professional compliance advice. You remain responsible for deciding whether a product is suitable for your organisation and for reviewing any process, control, calculation or output before relying on it.
9. Faults and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. UK consumer law gives statutory rights in relation to paid digital content, including requirements around satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and matching the description, together with remedies where those requirements are not met.
10. Support
For direct-purchase product access, technical issues or product questions, contact support@practicalitpacks.com. For payment-transaction support, the Managed Payments checkout or receipt may also direct you to Link/Stripe support.
11. Etsy purchases
If you choose the “Buy on Etsy” option, the purchase takes place on Etsy rather than through the website’s direct checkout. Etsy’s checkout, payment, transaction and marketplace terms apply to that order, alongside any product licence terms supplied with the download.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
